The project is designed in such a way that the controller will be interfaced to the RFID reader through a line driver IC max232 for serial communication. On the other hand, the controller will also be interfaced to the PC serially. Serial communication is often used either to control or to receive data from an embedded microprocessor. Each student will be issued with a unique RFID card. Whenever an RFID card is swiped over the reader, it gets the card information and sends to the microcontroller serially. So the controller receives the data and transmits it to the PC, as per the code logic. The microcontroller continuously monitors the status of the sensors and the X-Bee transceiver will be interfaced to the microcontroller through serial communication to pass the corresponding sensors data to the control room PC. The Pc will be also interfaced with another X-Bee transceiver through serial communication. The doctor can continuously check the patient's status by checking the parameters displayed on the PC and will take the immediate action if the parameters exceed the normal values.
